The new book by Jean Pierre Varet on the art of collage has just appeared in bookstores and was sent to the artists who made the request. It follows the art of collage at the dawn of the twentieth century history of an art published in 2006, which had a history of collage. This new book it is this time devoted to the technique of collage.
It covers all the technical aspects of this art starting with the use of glue types of paper, photomontage, transfer, stencil, weaving, stamp, pixelation, the effects of cardboard etc.
It puts into practice the variety of techniques of collage that are presented by publishing a work of 88 artists. Each of them tells their way and for some their technique and what it brings. The text, gives a very different light on the sometimes unexpected journey of the author. |
